I knew the lure of a brand new wooden screen door would be too much.
I knew I should have painted it before my brother had it installed. I knew I wouldn’t get around to painting it and leaving it unfinished was inviting trouble — Carpenter Bee, kind of trouble.
Spring is here and so are the Eastern Tent Caterpillars.
For two day, now, my youngest has been fascinated with the yearly arrival of this fuzzy critter. She has even named a few. It reminds me of when she was a young child. How much she loved being outside and her enthusiasm for nature.
I want to take the time this morning to Thank and say a prayer for the Veterans of the Vietnam War. I especially want to thank my youngest daughter’s dad for serving two tours. Today, we honor those veterans on the 1st Anniversary of National Vietnam War Veterans Day. I am proud to be an American and know the sacrifices so many have made to make my world a better place. Nationally, the Department of Defense will conduct a wreath laying ceremony with the Department of Veterans Affairs at The Vietnam War Memorial. For those here in Harleyville, the Patriots Point Naval & Maritime Museum in Charleston, SC, will conduct a ceremony to honor Vietnam Veterans. More info can be found on the Moultrie News website. Thank you for my freedom; God Bless.
