Honors in Art

The ‘Best of Show” winner in this year’s 33rd Annual World Grits Festival clothesline art competition depicts St. George as it should be — the historic Klauber Building, the historic Lourie Theater and an old fashioned grits mill, together on Parler Avenue.

The artist, Kaden Turbeville, is a 4th grade student in Mr. Rickborn’s homeroom class at Williams Memorial Elementary and the child of  Bryan and Jill Turbeville. First Place winners include Trinity Rice, 5th grader at WME (top); August Jones, 2nd grader at Dorchester Academy (middle); and Joel Beaty, 1st grader at WME (bottom).
